cleaning the hair

getting ready to start my buffalo hide this week and was just wondering the best way to get the hair clean. is there any tricks to getting all the dirt,grain,and grass out of the hair. just wondering if anyone had any tips on this thanks.
 
i did read one post on here that said to just use a  high pressure nozel on a hose just wondering what people where doing thanks.

Depending on how much manure is caked in the hair we sometimes soak the buff overnight in saltwater with a little dawn dish soap.  Then pull the buff and spray it down with a pressure nozzle.  It does make a mess but it is the fastest and easiest way to clean the hair.

is there anything i should do once im done with the hide to get it ready for being made into a blanket

Just decide if you to have a backing sewn on to it.

thanks for all the information that you have been giving me sorry for all the questions but i just wanted to get all my ducks in a row before i start. i am planning on making a back for it that will be removable so i can wash it if and when it is needed.
